The R-97 road connects Saykyn station of the Volga Railway near lake Botkul with the village of Taipak on the right bank of the Ural River.

Road R-97 Zhanibek - Zhanagala

Zhanibek is a town in far north-western Kazakhstan on the border with Volgograd Oblast, Russia. It is the administrative center of Zhanybek District in West Kazakhstan Region.

The asphalt road goes only to the village of Bisen. Further on the road is a sand grader. The first kilometers of this grader are under reconstruction.

Further on the road is a grader, in some places good, in others not so good.

Along the way you will encounter two-humped camels and huge herds of saigas.

Zhanakala is a district of West Kazakhstan Region in western Kazakhstan. During the Soviet era, the village was called Kisyk-Kamysh.
