
The Bozzhyra tract is a tract on the western edge of the Ustyurt Plateau in Kazakhstan’s Mangystau Region, known for its chalk cliffs and outliers. Translated from Kazakh, Bozzhyra means “Gray Valley.” Located on the Ustyurt Plateau, it was once the bottom of the prehistoric Tethys Ocean and is known for formations like the “Fangs” and “Dragon’s Crest”.
