Land Rover Defender TDI300 near “White Mountain”. Voskresensk, Russia.
Voskresensk is located about 80 kilometers from Moscow. Voskresensk Attraction became a mountain of chemical waste. Local plant fertilizer holds waste here. People call this hill “WHITE MOUNTAIN.”
The mountain appeared thanks to the Lopatinsky phosphorite mine, which began to work in the 30s of the twentieth century. Now the enterprise “Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers” stores waste here.
Since the beginning of the 90s, the mine has been almost completely abandoned. In 1993, the mining of phosphorites was stopped. Most of the quarries were flooded, expensive imported special equipment rusted in the open air and, in the end, was cut into scrap metal.
