Solza is a village in the Arkhangelsk region. It is part of the Nyonoksky administrative district of the municipal formation “Severodvinsk”. The village is located on the Summer coast of the Dvina Bay of the White Sea, at the mouth of the Solza River. The first mention of the village dates back to 1555 in connection with the purchase of the fortress of the Nikolo-Korelsky monastery for the courtyard in Solza [2]. At different times it was named Solzekskoe, Solzekskaya Slobodka, Solozskoe. In 1910, Solza was part of the Syuzeme volost of the Arkhangelsk district.
