Before the construction of the stone church in 1690-1694, several churches were replaced at this place. The first wooden church, built at the expense of the parishioners of the posad, appeared here during the reign of John IV. Until 1935, the church remained active. In 1936-1937, a flour warehouse was set up there. In 1958, the Annunciation Church was transferred to the museum.
