Designed to work with transceiver radio devices as part of mobile objects with a transmitter power in the transmitting mode not exceeding 300 W, in the frequency range from 2 to 80 MHz.

The mass of the antenna without packaging is not more than 4 kg. The ASh-4 antenna consists of metal pins made of steel tubes connected to each other and to the antenna shock absorber by bayonet locks. The bayonet connection is carried out by installing one rod into another, followed by pressing on the spring of the rod and turning until it stops. Complete with 4 pins, the maximum length of the antenna is L = 4180 mm, with 3 pins the maximum length of the antenna is L = 3190 mm, with 2 pins, the maximum antenna length is L = 2190 mm.
