Located on the corniche, between the Vieux-Port (Old Harbor) and the beaches of Gaston-Defferre, this beach is crowded with families and young children. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All the people of Marseille learned to swim here! The steady slope into the water allows us to touch the bottom for a long way into the sea. Also, the sand is fine and the beach is wide and is protected by a dam. It&#8217;s rare to see waves on this beach! On the border there are beach volleyball courts, which is popular in Marseille. Note that this beach has a lifeguard in the summer. To get to this beach, take bus number 83 and stop at Le Proph\u00e8te.
